Preparative Chemistry Techniques
I have acquired solid practical experience in preparative chemistry through hands-on laboratory training. My skills include the use of standard laboratory glassware and experimental setups, such as reflux systems, as well as the execution of key organic reactions including esterification, saponification, organomagnesium reactions, halogenation, and natural product extraction.
I am also experienced in the preparation of aqueous reagents, including acidic and basic solutions, with careful attention to concentration and safety.
Separation and Purification Techniques
I am proficient in a wide range of separation and purification methods routinely used in chemical laboratories, including filtration, decantation, and thin-layer chromatography (TLC).
My training also includes atmospheric and reduced-pressure distillation, the use of a rotary evaporator, recrystallization techniques, and column chromatography for compound purification.
Characterization Techniques
I am familiar with both qualitative and quantitative characterization approaches based on physical and chemical properties. These include melting point analysis using a Kofler bench, polarimetry, qualitative colorimetric and precipitation tests, as well as semi-quantitative and quantitative chromatographic analyses (HPLC and GC).
Structural characterization is performed using spectroscopic techniques, with a focus on data interpretation and analytical reliability.
